Nurse Practitioners are able to provide a wide variety of primary care services. This includes health assessment, health history, physical examination, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests, diagnosing medical conditions, initializing or adjusting treatment plans, prescribing and administering medications, education/counselling patients and families, curative and preventive health care, and referrals to other health care professionals and specialists. 

A follow up to a previous nurse practitioner appointment at the discretion of the nurse practitioner.

Completion of a Pre-employment/Driver’s License Medical by a Nurse Practitioner.

Assessment and completion of Workers Compensation forms by a Nurse Practitioner.

Cognitive Status/Memory Testing performed by a nurse practitioner.

Sexual Health consult with nurse practitioner. Includes blood and urine specimen collection, along with any follow up treatments if required.

PAP Smear completed by Nurse Practitioner and sent to NL Health laboratory for testing. Nurse Practitioner will follow up wth results.

Completion of a Disability Tax Credit forms by a Nurse Practitioner.

Consultation with nurse practitioner to determine testing required. Includes blood and urine specimen collection, along with any follow up treatments if required.
